Why was Laura Ingalls Wilder worth writing for?
Laura Ingalls Wilder was born in wooden cabin in Wisconsin on February 7, 1867. She grew up moving around the country and never got to go to school and study. Her family were pioneers and lived on the prarie. When she was older she was able to go to school. She became a teacher and then she quit teaching and she published her first book. Her first book was Little House in the Big Woods in 1932. She wrote 9 books that are all part of the Little House series. She came up with the ideas from wanting to tell stories to her grandkids. She was a pioneer so she came up with her book ideas from working on the farm. Laura Ingalls Wilder remains an important person because she wrote the Little House series and never stopped trying to put down the ideas of her books. Her books teach us today about helping your family and life on a farm.
