Diversity: Inclusion of individual representing more than one national origin, color, race, culture, etc

Stateless Nation: an ethnic group that is not the majority in the country

Secondary: the manufacturing of natural resources

Democracy: the supreme power is in vested in the people and excersized directly by them or their elected agent under a free electoral system

Dictatorship: some with absolute power

Monarchy: a royal family is in charge

Types of Economy and agriculture

Command Economy: the military is in charge

Sancution: authoritative, permission or aprproval, as for an action

Outsourcing: to get goods from someone outside suppliers or source

Mixed Economy: an economic system combining private and public enterprise

Traditional Economy: an underdeveloped economy in which communities use primitive tools and methods to harvest and hunt for food, often resulting in little economic growth

GDP (Gross Domestic Product): is one the primary indicators used to gauge the health of a country economy

Free enterprise/Capitalist: an economic in which private business operates in competition and largely free of state control

Subsistence Agriculture: is a self- sufficiency farmingd in which the farmer focus on growing enough food to feed themselves and their families

Infrastructure:the basic physical and organizational structures and facilities. Needed for the operation of a society or enterprise


Cold War: an era of ideologies; USA promoted democracy and capitalism while the USSR wanted to spread communism

Marshall Plan: offered 13 billion dollars to the nation war post in Western Europe

Truman Doctrine: promising economic and military to help any nation threaten by communism

NATO (Northern Atlantic Treaty Organization): a military alliance among democratic between counties in Europe and Northern America

United Nation: created to maintain international peace and security

European Nation: Easy travel through different countries in Europe

Tariff: a tax to be paid on exported or imported goods

OPEC (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries) : help members to control world wide oil prices and adjusting it

NAFTA (Northern American Free Trade Agreement): import tariffs on manufactured goods are being reduced. This agreement has created a huge zone of cooperation on trade of economic issues
