Message from Ms. Rivera
Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season with your family, and I am excited to welcome many new families to Smith! Family engagement is important and essential, and you will see that we have many activities for families to have fun and to also support learning at home.
This semester is going to fly by, and I spoke with the kids this week about working hard to prepare for the next grade level. At Smith, we value hard work, having a growth mindset, and not giving up, especially when tasks get hard. I am looking forward to seeing the growth our kids will make!
International Night celebrates cultures from around the world. We are looking for performances for the show. In the past, we have had Indian dancers, baile folklorico, German dancers, and more. We have also had booths set up to highlight different cultures, such as Mexican sweetbread snacks and Native American crafts. If you are interested in participating, contact our PTO president Tiffany Allday at firstname.lastname@example.org.
