A Cardinal Thanksgiving
During the week of November 25th, the district welcomed 600+ parents and special guests into their schools for the 2nd annual Cardinal Thanksgiving.
It was an amazing event that called for all hands on deck. A special thank you to all of our families that were able to join us. Thank you also to our amazing food service department who prepared and served all of the meals. Thank you to our staff who pitched in and helped wherever it was needed. Thank you to Cardi Guard volunteers and CMS students who helped as well.

CMS FACS Classroom Receives Upgrade
The Clinton Middle School FACS (Family and Consumer Science) classroom recently received a remodel that provides a safe, functional and fun learning environment for students.
Thank you to Clinton Rotary Club, Walmart, Parks Cabinets and O.P.S. (the district's maintenance department) for making this project possible.
Students in Mrs. Woods' classes are very appreciative of the generosity of our community and are already learning some very valuable skills in their new classroom.
See more pictures here.
Students Thank Veterans
The CSD enjoys, and sees the extreme worth in, providing students service learning opportunities. Through these opportunities, our students learn the importance of giving back and that a community is only successful if everyone does their part.
Second graders at Henry Elementary School recently took the time to write letters of "thanks" to Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare employees, who are also military veterans.
Students then had the chance to travel to GVMH to visit some of the veterans to thank them for their service.
Pictured here with students are just a few of the many veterans who work at GVMH.

Get to Know....Annisa Bracher
Originally from Appleton City, MO, Annisa Bracher has been a Clinton Cardinal for the past 16 years. She currently teaches in the Cardinal Coop class, a mixed-age classroom at CIS with fellow teacher, Amy Gardner.
Ms. Bracher is the only sister to two brothers, Steve and David. Her brother, Steve, is married with 3 children; Ethan (27), Emily (22), and Evan (17) are the apple of Annisa's eye, and being their aunt truly is her favorite title. Her nephew, Ethan, operates his own fencing business, and is also married to Annisa's "bonus niece", Lauren. Her niece, Emily, is a full-time nanny, and they love to go on shopping trips together. Nephew, Evan is a junior at Appleton City High School, and in the fall you will find Annisa watching him play football on Friday nights.
In her spare time, Ms. Bracher loves spending time with family, listening to music, and shopping. During the spring and summer, you will find her planting and growing flowers....she especially loves growing hydrangeas.
"I enjoy working in the CSD because of the incredible friendships I have formed in the last 16 years. I honestly couldn't imagine my life without them. Another amazing part of the CSD are our learners. They help us to learn and grow as teachers each year."
