Basketball Semi-Final Results

Our boys and girls Varsity Basketball teams played in the Semi-Finals over the weekend. We are very proud of their sportsmanship and talent. Our boys came up a few points short, but our girls beat their opponents. They will play in the Championship game tomorrow, Wednesday, March 30th at 6:30pm at SMR. Please join our amazing cheerleaders to cheer them on to victory! Go Crusaders!

Maryland Day

To celebrate Maryland Day, our 4th grade class, our Student Council Association, our National Junior Honor Society, and our Chorus members took a field trip to St. Clement’s Island. It was there where the first Catholic Mass in English America was celebrated. Did you know that in March of 1634, Father Andrew White S.J. erected a cross and then led a Mass of Thanksgiving at St. Clement’s Island? Our chorus did a wonderful job leading everyone in song during the Mass today to commemorate that first Mass celebrated in the original 13 colonies by Father Andrew White. Thank you Mrs. Cacko for preparing our students so well! Great job FAW!

We are so honored that Maryland’s First Lady, Mrs. Yumi Hogan was here to visit Father Andrew White School on Maryland Day! Her love for the arts was evident and her passion for teaching made her visit that much more special!

Camp Maria Retreat

We had such a wonderful time at our school retreat at Camp Maria!! Our day began with an outdoor Mass overlooking the beautiful Breton Bay. Students enjoyed a variety of activities that were a great blend of fun, friendship and faith! They played games, sang songs, made bookmarks and prayer book covers, participated in Eucharistic Adoration, and interacted with priests and sisters throughout the day. We ended our time by praying the rosary. It was a fruitful day as we planted seeds of wisdom, faith and love!
