A Message from the Principal

I want to start by saying thank you. Thank you for supporting our teachers throughout this school year. We weren't always sure how this year would end, but the staff at the Greene School was committed to doing whatever we could to make sure your children had the best possible experience this year, whether virtual or in person.

We faced many obstacles along the way. In the end, it was the spirit of collaboration amongst this staff that bonded us and allowed us to work past everything that stood in our way. I am so fortunate to see our teachers work each day. They have the best interest of your children in mind and create experiences in the classroom to help nurture their development.

We are also very fortunate to work with such amazing students. Their passion for learning and life make the jobs of the educators at the Greene School fun. They inspire us to work in the face of adversity to create memorable experiences. Seeing them in masks or on computer screens rather than in the vibrant learning environments during a typical year was tough. I have to applaud the efforts of our students. They didn't just sit back and let the year slip by. They pushed to create opportunities for leadership, giving, and service. They figured out how to make an impact during a year with restrictions and rules when most people would have given up.

To say I am hopeful for the next generation doesn't come close to describe the optimism that I have for the future of the students at the Greene School. I hope you enjoy some sense of normalcy this summer and I hope your kids are able to cherish the joys of childhood again. Thank you!
