Principal's Pride Page
Keeping you Informed
Allow me to introduce myself...
Hello All,
My name is Sam Martina and I am the new high school principal. This is a little bit of a redundant introduction as I’ve met many of you already, but I figured I might as well make it official. I am honored and excited by this new opportunity. I’ve had a chance to meet with many staff, student, and community representatives and they all speak to the sense of pride they have in the school. It is my goal to continue this into the 2015-16 school year and beyond.
Instead of inundating you with edu-gibberish that sounds impressive but doesn’t give you a sense of who I am, let me just tell you my beliefs with regard to teaching, education, communication, and administration:
I believe in…
…doing what is best for our students.
…working collaboratively in order to find consensus-driven solutions to problems.
…open, honest, consistent, and respectful communication with all stakeholders.
…using data to effectively analyze and respond to the needs of the school community.
…promoting a positive and healthy (physically and mentally) school culture.
…meaningful education that leads to civic responsibility.
…consistency, fairness, and equity.
Also, I believe in you. I believe in your dedication to the students of this school. I believe in your professionalism. I believe in the sanctity of your learning environment. I believe in your right to grow and develop your craft.
I will work with you to guarantee these beliefs.
