Jessup Online News
Fall 2018
What's happening?
Jessup Online is growing!
Beginning Fall 2018, WJU is greatly expanding our online degree programs and offerings. To ensure the success of these programs WJU has entered into a partnership with Learning House to market and recruit students for our fully online degree programs. Learning House will also provide retention services to ensure the academic success of the students they enroll in these programs.
What you need to know:
Online Advisors (OA's) from Learning House will monitor the progress of the students that they enroll in these fully online programs in order to assess retention risk. Based on that retention risk assessment, they will contact students to check on how they’re doing in their various online courses.
These check-ins will be generic and you, as the faculty member, will still be the student’s central contact for your course.
NOTE:
- The Learning House OA’s will not be contacting students about course-specific activities. Jessup Online faculty will still be the ones to make contact with all students who are struggling, missing assignments, not posting in discussion forums, etc.
- Jessup Online will receive a bi-weekly report from Learning House and will pass on any pertinent information to individual instructors as needed.
What you need to do:
You are a critical part of making Jessup Online successful. Please keep on doing the wonderful job you always do of educating and guiding our Jessup students.
If any questions, problems or challenges arise, please make us aware of them so we can assist you.
