From the Desk of Ms. Clark
January 3, 2019
Christmas blessings to you and Happy New Year! It is my sincere hope that you enjoyed a wonderful Christmas with family and friends. All of the students and teachers are happy to be back in school after a nice, long break. Everyone is already hard at work!
During the month of January, we are focusing on the Fruit of the Holy Spirit, Joy. Our students are reminded that joy is a feeling of gladness based on our circumstances, and that the joy of our Lord is established in our spiritual and eternal circumstances. For joy to flourish, we must focus on loving others and especially on loving God. As Jesus said to His disciples, "These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full," we pray that we stay close to Jesus so we can experience this fullness of joy.
As we embark on this New Year, may you be given opportunities to know Him more, walk in faith, and grow by His grace!

Healthy Hands, Healthy Heart
Fall is here, and with the cool breeze comes the unfortunate cold and flu! If your child is sick, please keep him or her home. Please remind your child to always remember to wash his or her hands. Studies have proven that hand washing (next to the flu shot) is the BEST way to avoid colds and flu. A healthy diet and sleep also keep your immune system going, so be sure that your child gets plenty of rest!
6th Grade Scientists
Service with a Smile
We are so proud of our 4th graders who made the blessing bags last month. They were at again and volunteered for the Salvation Army Meal packing. With the help of the other volunteers, they made over 700 meal bags for families in need. We are so happy to see our students living our mission.
