Student Accomplishments
Our three LHS students, Nathan Dettinger, Cashton Darlich and Reiley Dolan were in competition with over 35 other applicants from throughout Adams/York County - only eight total were selected. Having been accepted into this inaugural program, Hanover Auto Team Tech Pathways, our students will attend afternoon sessions daily at the facility. They will receive classroom instruction along with hands-on shop experience. This is a two year apprenticeship that starts their senior year in high school and expands into their career goal after graduation. Congratulations to our students and their families - best wishes!

Applying for a Job?
In Pennsylvania, minors are required to obtain a work permit before starting their first job. Our process is simple. As a current student you need to complete the Work Permit Application and return it to Mrs. Ortman in the main office. Please allow up to two (2) school days for her to process your application and issue your permit.
Seniors!
Seniors, be on the lookout for communication regarding senior meetings. The Counselors will be starting them soon!
Student Schedules
With a week in, students are still getting to know their schedules. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your current schedule, or would like to make a schedule change, please reach out to the counseling department.

Building Project Underway
Just a reminder that our building project will be starting this month. We understand that it can be overwhelming and frustrating at times, and we will have a few changes along the way, but please bear with us as we are all navigating this together. Please be mindful of limited parking areas during school hours, as well as no parking areas. When parking along the streets, please be sure to follow parking restrictions.
Message from the Nurse
Welcome back to school for another great year. During this time of the year the weather can be unpredictable so please be sure that your students are dressing appropriately for the weather. Also, remember that the temperature in the building can be unpredictable so please be sure that your students have water bottles with them so that they can stay hydrated.
If you have a student that is in 11th grade, please turn in their physical forms to the health office along with an updated immunization form if you have not already done so.
Health Heroes will be back in the school on September 28, 2023 to do flu shots for the students. If you would like for your student to receive the flu shot, please fill out the form that your student received the first day of school and return it to the health room by September 22, 2023 to participate in this program.
Please be sure that your student(s) are eating breakfast in the morning so that they can have the fuel they need to get through the morning and be ready to learn. Breakfast is free for all students this year in the cafeteria. Please remind students to stop by and grab something to eat.
The health room is looking forward to a great school year.
