- Students will be assigned to an A group or a B group and will attend in-person either on Monday-Tuesday or Thursday-Friday. Wednesday will be a remote learning day for all students.

Transportation for kindergartners
Families of kindergarten students will receive a form on Friday, Oct. 30, to indicate if their child will ride the school bus. Forms will be due by Tuesday morning, Nov. 3. Health and safety guidelines will be followed on the bus. Buses will stop at a grab-and-go school meal site on the way home to allow students to pick up lunch. The form will be emailed from vps@qemailserver.com to the parent listed as the primary contact.
Coming up: Early learning webinars
Parent webinars will focus on preschool learning at home. All webinars are from 5 to 6 p.m. They will be translated.
- Nov. 2 – Use pictures and visual cues to boost communication skills
- Nov. 9 – Create systems at home to encourage independence
- Nov. 16 – Incorporate activity and rest periods to support emotional and physical wellness
When will older students transition to in-person learning?
Additional groups of students will be phased into the classroom on a limited basis as allowed by county and state guidelines. A larger-scale transition to a hybrid schedule of in-person and remote learning depends on the number of the active COVID-19 cases in the county. Currently, the number of cases continues to increase and Clark County remains in the high activity level of positive COVID-19 cases. The county must spend at least three weeks in the moderate activity level (25-75 cases per 100,000) before hybrid learning can begin for some elementary students.
