REMINDER: United Way Meeting tomorrow at 7:45 a.m. Please be prompt.

We are beginning to see a lot of traffic during homeroom. Please remember that homeroom time is a STURCTURED time for students to read and/or study. Do NOT write your students a pass to go see a teacher. If the teacher needs them, that teacher will give them a pass. From this point forward, if you have a sub, note on your lesson plans that subs are NOT allowed to issue passes during homeroom.

Red Days are DEAR days: students must read the entire time

Black Days can be used to work on homework or read; there is no such thing as "free" time.

Lubbock-Cooper Education Foundation

The Lubbock-Cooper Education Foundation is once again opening up applications for innovative LCISD employees to send in their creative grant ideas! Applications will be accepted through Tuesday, March 1, so get started as soon as possible! Everyone is welcome to apply, including last year's grant recipients!

Newton Excellence in Education Award

Josh Aguirre has been selected to apply for the Frank and Nancy Newton Excellence in Education Award. Congratulations to Josh and Good Luck!!

Macbook Air

We are working on a plan to transition all of the LBMS teachers to the Apple Macbook. Some of you already have the Macbook Air and we are scheduled to hand out a few more this week. Those who do not get one this Spring, will hopefully receive on this summer.

Apple TV's

If you need an Apple TV, please submit a short proposal by email and tell me how you plan on using it and we will make every effort to get you one. A short paragraph describing how you will implement it into your lessons is all I need.

Digital Citizenship for LBMS

Next week (Week of 2-1-16) is a new Digital Citizenship lesson on the topic of "A Creator's Responsibility".

Make sure you look at the information ahead of time and have the necessary

copies ready for the case studies.

For those new to the campus, this is to be done during homeroom. I have

broken the lesson out to be covered a little each day throughout the week.

Make a note on your calendars for the next lessons to come:

Safe Online Talk: Week of 2-22-16

Which Me Should I Be?: Week of 3-21-16

Gender Stereotypes Online: Week of 4-11-16
