What are FATS?
Fats are in almost everything we eat. There are different kinds of fats where some are good for us and others that are not. If you do not have enough fats it is a result of lack of vitamin and if you consume too much it can lead to heart disease and other problems related.
Type of FATS
Unsaturated Fat : Monounsaturated fats and polyunsaturated fats are two types of unsaturated fatty acids. These unsaturated fats are derived from vegetables and plants.
Examples: olive oil, peanut oil, and canola oil.
Saturated Fat : Fats that are derived from animal products.
Examples: meat, dairy, and eggs.
Trans Fat : A fat that is also an unsaturated fat, but can raise bad cholesterol levels while lowering good cholesterol levels. Trans fats are used to extend the shelf life of processed foods.
Examples: cookies, cakes, fries and donuts.
