Pearls
I liked learning about different animals. We found out that there is a ‘bird eating spider’, it has fur on its legs and body. Ava
I love Christmas! Every morning we found the elf had done something naughty in our classroom and we opened our chocolate advent calendar too! Santa came to visit us and we sang songs in our nativity. Amelia C
We all loved visiting Chester Zoo. We saw giraffes eating, elephants looking after their babies and we kept warm in the butterfly house!
My favourite story is ‘What the Ladybird Heard’. I love listening to stories. Paisley
I like animals and playing with the zoo. My favourite story is ‘Monkey Puzzle’. PJ
I liked learning about the rainforest. We learnt that an anaconda has live babies and they have to look after themselves as soon as they are born. Miah
Rubies
Mr Pritchard has loved watching each and every one of you grow in different ways and will miss you all so very much. Mr Pritchard especially loved making space rockets with you and labelling them together.
Mrs Moffat has loved working in Rubies and is looking forward to moving up with the Year Twos in September. She has loved watching you grow in confidence and will remember Rubies forever, especially the Rasputin Just Dance.
Mrs Marshall will miss the Year Twos and the current Rubies family but is excited for the reception class to be joining the Year Ones. Mrs Marshall especially enjoyed our trip to the Magna Science Centre.
Best of luck for September, I will see you very soon!
Love from Mr P
Diamonds
What a busy final couple of weeks Diamonds have had! We have completed our non-chronological reports on Queen Elizabeth II in English and accomplished lots of statistics work within Maths. In Science, we have been working on Forces and Magnets, completing lots of experiments in the process – our final task was to create our own compass using bar magnets and water (see the pictures below).
The children have focused really hard on our production of Shrek, which was a huge success! All the staff are so proud of each and every child across KS2, they did an amazing job! Thank you to both the children and to parents for helping us put on such a fantastic show.
Only this morning, we had a magnificent time during our reading reward. It was brilliant to see everyone enjoying the inflatables and to see the ‘Gold’ readers have a water fight.
Moving forwards, both Mrs Bryan and I would like to wish the Year 4 children all the luck in the world for their journey into Year 5. To all the Year 3s, we cannot wait to see you again in September. It has been an absolute pleasure to teach you this year, you have all worked so hard.
We hope you have a fabulous, restful summer! Thank you for your support.
Best wishes,
Miss Chiswell & Mrs Bryan
Sapphires
What a week Sapphires have had! Our final week has been packed full of rehearsals for production, which resulted in three fantastic performances on Tuesday! All of our hard work paid off and we made our families and teachers incredibly proud.
We also invited our friends and families in to school for our end of year celebration. We had a great time reminiscing over all of our happy memories at Swinefleet Primary whilst writing our leavers speeches- there wasn’t a dry eye in the house by the time we finished!
Farewell
This year we also say goodbye to a young lady in Year 3. We will miss her constant energy and chattiness and I really hope she will come back to visit us.
Mr Pritchard leaves us this year for an exciting adventure in Dubai. It will be challenging for us all to say goodbye as he truly is a member of the family and a big part of our school. We all wish him the best of luck and are excited to see him again at Christmas.
School Places
If you have friends or family who are wanting a place at the school either now or in the future then please encourage them to contact us via email or over the phone. This is especially important if they will want places as a 2-Year Old or in our Nursery or Reception as places for next year and the following year are now limited.
Thank you
