Knights In Action!
Last week the Knights JV Tennis Team defeated Wakeland in the district finals match 12-7 to become District Champs for the first time in IHS history! We play at McKinney North High School next Tuesday at 1:30pm for the Bi-District playoff round. Varsity Tennis has also made it to the playoffs and will play Wylie East in the Bi-District round next Tuesday at 1:30pm at McKinney North High School. Way to go, Knights! Excellent fall season!
America's Top Young Scientist
Anika Chebrolu, 9th grader, was selected as the 2020 3M Young Scientist Challenge Winner! The top 10 2020 3M Young Scientist Challenge finalists included students from public and private schools across America. Anika was given $1000 as a finalist and the opportunity to work virtually with a 3M scientist who mentored her as she evolved her invention from idea to prototype. As the grand prize winner, Anika received $25,000 and the prestigious title of America’s Top Young Scientist.

The window to request a learning environment change is now closed. The next opportunity to change learning environments will be in November in anticipation of the second semester that begins in January.
The next opportunity to request a schedule change will be at the end of first semester in December. At that time, the only courses students may request to drop are full year AP/PAP courses or programs (athletics, band, orchestra, choir, etc.).

Advanced Placement (AP) Exam Fee
The payment window for AP Exams is November 2 through February 19, 2021. Payment can be made online through Online School Fees and the exam fees will post to student accounts on November 2nd.
Students not enrolled in an AP course but want to take the AP Exam must register and pay for the exam by November 9 to avoid late fees. Please contact CCMR Facilitator, Kim Colon, at ColonK@friscoisd.org as soon as possible if you want to take an AP Exam in which you are not enrolled in the course.
