Continent Europe. Capital is Athens. The population is 10,775,643. The area is 50,949 square miles. The main languages are English, French, and Greek. The main religions is Greek Orthodox and that is 98%. The distance from the capital to Washington D.C. is 5,143 miles.
Schools
In Greece you must go from 6 to 15 years. Most kids have tutors from piano lessons to school lessons. All most all go to public schools but a few go to private schools. They take the same classes we do but they also take religion classes in school.
Life as a kid
Family life is important because the gran parents usually stay with the rest of the family. Kids usually eat dinner at 10 pm and go to bed at 12 pm. When kids hang out they are in large groups of family and friends. Kids also like to watch TV, play sports, And like to listen to a lot of music.
Land and climate
Greece is smaller then the state of Alabama. There are a lot of mountains in Greece the tallest is Mount Olympus at 9,570 feet high. Also the Pindos mountains run north to south through the main land. Most people live in valleys, plains, and coastal areas. Next there are a lot of earth quakes in Greece. Last there are 2,000 islands in Greece the largest is Crete.
Things to do in Greece
I would love to go to the beach because it is so nice. Also I would like to go to the festival's because they seem so fun to be in. Next I would like to see the Parthenon because it has been around for thousands of years. That is some of the reasons why Greece is so cool.
