Anti-hazing Assemblies Held for All Students

On Tuesday, September 12 all four grade levels attended separate assemblies in the morning to review sections 17-19 of the Anti-Hazing Law. in Massachusetts. Our Athletic Director, Mr. Catabia defined hazing, gave examples of hazing, shared a personal story and talked about how it is everyone's responsibility and duty to report hazing. There are smart steps you can take to stay safe:

1. Assess the situation

2. Speak out!

3. Remove yourself safely

4. Report

Hazing is prohibited at Blue Hills and will NOT be tolerated. Each student was given a copy of the law in the assembly and all coaches and advisers will review it again. Hazing can be physically and/or psychologically harmful.

National Hazing Prevention Week is September 18-22, 2017.
