Bat Cave Update

Butterfly News

Good morning everyone and happy Sunday to you!

I had to send to this out because I know all of my little superhero friends would really want to see/hear/know about the latest with our butterflies.

I walked into the Bat Cave this morning for the sole purpose of cleaning off/up Mess Mountain (otherwise known as my desk) and found we had FOUR butterflies hatch over the past day and a half. Three of those butterflies still seem to be pretty quiet and not quite so ready to fly, but one little guy was flittering all over the place.

Because we still have five chrysalis working hard that I don't want disturbed, I thought it would be best to let the one active butterfly go. Hopefully Tuesday morning will allow us the chance to release the three other butterflies. I have left plenty of sugar water for them to feast upon until we all see each other again.

Please see the pictures below of this morning's release!

This butterfly is a female butterfly because she does not have black dots anywhere on her wings. See picture below!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and GO PATS!

Update to the Update

While I was cleaning this morning, the other three butterflies (all boys!) were getting super frisky and I actually caught them hanging from other chrysalis. I really didn't want to, but because I want ALL of our butterflies to hatch, I released the other three (sorry kiddos!) I feel pretty good about the other five hatching sometime this week or the beginning of next week!
