Did you know your heart is a muscle? You need to work it just like you do your other muscles.

Eat Your Heart Out!

Some heart-healthy foods that may include a few surprises:

  • Lean beef. People who eat lean beef as part of a heart-healthy diet had a 4% drop in their blood pressure.
  • Cheese. People who ate 3 - 7 servings of dairy a week were less likely to die of heart disease than those who ate fewer. It may also help reduce blood pressure and glucose levels.
  • Fruit. 1 serving daily reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke by as much as 40%.
