A Publication for HES Staff
Week of May 8th
Welcome
First and foremost, Happy Mother's Day!
Last week ended on such a positive note thanks to School Lunch Hero Day and our first day of enrichment clusters. As I shared in my email on Friday, thanks to each of you for making this happen! On a related note, I truly appreciate all of the kind words you've shared with me about both events.
Friendly reminder that PARCC make-ups will continue this week and conclude on Friday. The staff member assigned to administer should have reached out to you already with a date and location. Don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions.
Looking forward to tomorrow's Luncheon. Have a wonderful evening!
David

Update: 2016-2017
Budget information will be shared with staff mid-week.
Placement cards have been distributed. Preliminary placements with grade level colleagues should occur over the next few weeks. Our May faculty meeting (5/16) will be dedicated to placements.
Important Update: Later tonight, I will be emailing a link to student separations and homeroom assignments of children with IEPs. Please review both documents carefully. Also, you will receive a copy of any placement emails/letters I've received from parents by Wednesday.
Monday's In-Service
From Dan's email:
Please plan to join all elementary staff and district administrators in the TMS cafeteria at 2:30PM for an informational meeting, during which time we will provide an overview of the efforts underway to revitalize our reading support program for the 2016-2017 school year.
Parking may be a challenge due to paving work being done at TMS, so please consider parking in the student lot, located by the solar panels behind CHS. This will be a short presentation and since a walk from an adjacent parking lot may be necessary, no need to carry your laptop to this session.
Please plan to be in the TMS cafeteria so that we can begin promptly at 2:30PM.
Principal Feedback Survey
Please click here to complete this year's principal survey which goes towards my evaluation. The survey will close next Friday at noon.
Friendly reminder that external factors beyond my control should not factor into evaluation (e.g. monies were frozen by district this spring which prohibited supplies from being purchased, PARCC isn't something our school has volunteered for, etc).
Thanks in advance, as always, for your time and input.
Tech Byte from Vikki
A Request from Carlos
Please don't leave papers on student desks at the end of the day. They are blowing around when Paul vacuums.
See see Carlos with any questions. Thanks in advance for your help!
Reminders from Mr. Suozzo
When preparing for your annual, please make sure to complete your SGOs and your PGP, including your hours. We will also discuss your goals for next year's PGP, so please think of what you might want to be working on for the future. It is suggested that you look at the Technology Competencies to see if there are any areas that you need to learn more about - this can be included in your PGP.
