Viking Bulletin

Week of November 7th

October was such a busy month. We had a great time at the first annual Trunk or Treat. Such a great turnout from our current and future Vikings. The month of November will fly by. Just a reminder at the beginning of December we have End of Course testing. See below for resources and other info about these upcoming test.

Also, mark your calendars that November 16th is our 10th and 11th Grade Parent Night. More info on this to come.

As always, if you have any questions let us know.

Clubs and Activities

All current and prospective Beta Club members, please go by the following rooms to check the spreadsheet to see if you qualify and to pick up an application: Sophomores go to room 154, Juniors go to room 133, and Seniors go to room 720.

Juniors - Those who have a qualifying GPA were emailed an application for induction into the National Honors Society. Please check your school email as soon as possible as there are due dates for the application. If you did not receive an email and believe you should qualify to apply, please email Mrs. Hilary Perry (last name A - 0) or Mrs. Carleigh Baker (last name P - Z) to check.

Seniors (who were not members last year) - If you believe your GPA is above a 90%, and you were not a member of NHS last year, you will need to have your counselor email Mrs. Hilary Perry with your cumulative GPA. If your GPA qualifies, she will email you the application and directions. All due dates apply regardless of the date of inquiry.

REFUGE Prayer Club meets each Wednesday morning at 8:00am in room 153. All students are welcome to attend!

SAGE Clubs meeting each Wednesday afternoon in room 246. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Juniors and Seniors! It's time to start making your plans for Prom! Yes, it's already that time! This spring's prom will be at the Fox Theater in Atlanta on Saturday, April 29. In order for you to be able to attend, Prom forms must be completed and submitted with prom fees to Ms. Nelson in room 502, Mrs. Ratliff in room 138, or Mrs. Rollins in the front office.

You can find Prom forms for Juniors and Seniors as well as Prom Guest forms in the 700/800 building office, the front office, on the school website, on the Junior and Senior Google Classroom pages, or outside of Mrs. Ratliff and Ms. Nelson's rooms.
