Back to School!
We are so excited to welcome all of our band students back to school tomorrow! We hope you have had a great summer. Below is important information about the 1st day of school as well as information regarding upcoming events.

First Day of School
- No Student should bring their instrument to school tomorrow. Instead, they will need to bring them on the second day after we have shown them where their band locker is.
- Beginning Band Families-Make sure you have made arrangements for renting/purchasing your child's instrument and supplies. Many have been delivered to us by the music company-if you made that arrangement. We will place those instruments and supplies in the child's Band Locker tomorrow. If you need to double check what supplies and instrument models are recommended please click HERE.
- The following are school provided instruments($100 rental fee due through mypaymentsplus, We will send notification when your accounts have been updated) Oboe, Bassoon, French Horn, Euphonium and Tuba
Band Registration Meeting Tuesday, Aug 21
- Our mandatory Band Registration Meeting is Tuesday, August 21st in the Scoggins Cafeteria. Beginning Band Families 6-6:45pm, Advanced Band Families 7-7:45pm We will be going over some important information in the band handbook, talking about private lessons, explaining how to use CHARMS, Remind, Fees and much more!
- This is a crucial meeting and will be very helpful for starting the school year off right! At least one parent per student must attend this meeting. If you have an unavoidable conflict, please let a director know ahead of time.
- The Scoggins Band tries to go green as much as possible. All of our registration forms are online. Please fill them out prior to the meeting by clicking the link below. http://bit.ly/ScogginsBandReg18
- If we do not have it on file at that time, you will need to fill it out once at Scoggins for the meeting. We ask that you read over all materials with your student.
- We will meet in the cafeteria so please park in the front parking lot and enter through the main entrance. Doors will open @ 5:45 PM.
- Payment for Band Registration fees will be accessible online via Charms. Please remember payment plans are available. Please reach out to Mr. Davis if you need to set one up.
Spirit Wear
We are offering a wide variety of band spirit wear this year! All of these items are completely optional, but most students get a few things. Orders are being taken online until midnight on August 31st! Place your order here: http://bit.ly/SpiritWear18
Upcoming Band Social
All students are invited to our first social of the year at PINSTACK in Plano on Friday, September 7, 6-8PM. Cost for this event is $25
**All Band Fees and Instrument Rental Fees must be paid, or payment plans in place to attend.**
