Afternoon Car Line on Civic Drive

Our friendly business neighbor, Aero Brakes & Spares Inc, needs your help in the afternoons during car line pick up. Aero Brake & Spares Inc. only has one way in and out of their parking lot, and cars waiting in line have been blocking their driveway. Please make sure that when you are waiting in line that you leave the business driveway clear for their customers and employees to come and go from the parking lot.

Thank you so much for your help!

Don't forget to turn in your child's free & reduced Lunch Application!

Your child might be eligible for free and reduced price meals! Not sure if your child is eligible? Eligibility is based on your household size and income level. Check to see if you're eligible - it's risk free and confidential. Click below to access income guidelines and the application. Also, remember that applications must be completed every school year, so if you qualified last year and have not yet completed an application for the 2019-2020 school year, re-apply today!

How did you earn your Golden Ticket this week?

Mrs. Jackson asked students how they earned a Golden Ticket this week and here are their responses:

Are You Ready for Some Football??

Head over to LVHS on Friday, September 6th to cheer on the Varsity football team as they host the first home football game of the season. District administrators and staff will be enforcing the following expectations to ensure that all Viking fans enjoy the game:

1. All LVES and LVIS students must be accompanied by an adult guardian in order to attend Lago Vista High School varsity football home games. The students must remain under the supervision of that guardian at all times while at the stadium. Students are not permitted on the practice field at any point during football games.

2. Standing, loitering, or horseplay under and around the stadium stands, concession stands, or any other area is prohibited. Revealing, provocative and/or inappropriate dress will not be allowed, nor will inappropriate behaviors or foul language. Repeat offenders will be required to leave the stadium and campus.

3. Once inside the stadium, middle school and high school students with a student ticket will be allowed to sit in the designated student area on the home side of the stadium. Students may sit in the reserved or general admission sections only if they are under the supervision of an adult guardian.

4. The use of alcohol, controlled substances, tobacco, and vapes are prohibited on school premises.

5. Outside food and drinks are not permitted inside the gates. We have a wonderful Booster Club that provides a full concession stand of food and drinks for you to purchase throughout the game.

Lago Vista ISD appreciates everyone’s cooperation and support as we work to keep a safe and enjoyable environment at Viking football games.

Running of The Vikings

All PK-5th grade (LVES and LVIS) students are invited to participate in the Running of The Vikings before all home games. Students will need to line up on the north end of the field (by the Viking tunnel) at 6:50 pm to be ready to run when the players leave the field (approx. 7:00 pm). The first Running of The Vikings will be Friday, September 6th.

Parents - don't forget to bring your camera so you can capture this exciting tradition!

Watch DOG Kick-off Event - September 11th

We are excited to have the WatchDOG program back again for the 2019-2020 school year. This is a wonderful volunteer opportunity for dads, grandfathers, uncles, and brothers to be a positive male role model for our Vikings by being an extra set of hands, eyes and ears in the classrooms and on campus. There will be an informational session on September 11th at 8:30 am for those interested in serving as a WatchDOG this year. Reservation forms are going home today in Friday folders with more information.

We LOVE having WatchDOGs at LVES and can't wait to have them back!

Transportation Changes

Please make sure that you contact Mrs. Kuske in the front office to make any transportation changes (by 12:00 pm). Email is the best way to submit your transportation change ( If you call the bus barn to make an afternoon transportation change, we may not get it.

LVHS Cheerleaders Hosting Mini Cheer Clinic

Mark your calendars for September 28th from 9:00 am -12:00 pm for a Mini Cheer Clinic hosted by the LVHS Cheerleaders. The clinic is open to all kindergarten through 5th grade students. Counselor's Corner

Hello LVES Families! Does your child need any school supplies or a backpack? Local churches have generously donated several items, and I would love to give them to students who need them!

This week we started our classroom guidance lessons! Your child will learn what a school counselor does and how I can help them, as well as the meaning of this month’s character trait, Responsibility.

At home, you can talk with your child about responsibility, and teach them that by doing chores, answering for their own actions, being trustworthy, and using good judgment are signs that they are growing up and can be trusted with greater freedom! Try to "catch" your child making responsible choices, and let them know how much it means to you.
"The greatest gifts you can give your children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence." ~Denis Waitley

~Denis Waitley

Want to Volunteer?

We love volunteers at LVES! If you are interested in volunteering in any capacity at LVES (field trips, Room Parent, Watch DOG, Friday Folder Parent, PTO, etc), you must fill out a background check form. Background checks are done yearly, so even returning volunteers must complete a new form at the beginning of the year prior to volunteering on campus.

You can download the background check form by clicking on the link below:

Completed forms can be dropped at the LVISD Administration building located at 8039 Bar-K Ranch Road. Please allow at least 2 weeks for background checks to process.

LVES Office Hours

Our front office is open Monday-Friday from 7:30-4:00 pm. If you call before or after that time, you will need to leave a message and someone from the office staff will return your call the next day.
