Jesus Was Born
This week, we continued our Christmas unit in The Gospel Projectfor Kids and
celebrated the birth of Jesus. It was fitting that Jesus was born in a manger and that the first people to hear about His arrival were the shepherds in the fields. Shepherds were outcasts from society and, by God’s announcing the birth of Jesus to them first, God was declaring that the Savior was coming to save all people everywhere.
This Christmas season, help your children develop a heart for all people, no matter what language the speak, what they look like, or where they live.
Unit Key Passage
"But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons."
Unit 5 Session 2
Main Point: Jesus was born to be God's promised Savior.
Big Picture Question: Why was Jesus born? Jesus was born to rescue us from sin.
Christ Connection: The birth of Jesus was good news! Jesus was not an ordinary baby. He was God's Son, sent to earth from heaven. Jesus came into the world to save people from their sins and to be their King.
(Ages 2 & 3)
Hi Family, and Merry Christmas!
Your children did awesome in the Christmas performance. Praise God for the relatives that came to church and saw your children praising God and singing about our Savior. We want to thank you so much for all the support you have given us and for training your children in the ways of God. This Sunday we learned about Jesus being born. The children got to make candy canes for the elderly at Ann Pearl and pray for those they were giving them to. We pray that your children and family would have opportunities to speak of the good news that Jesus died for our sins and resurrected; giving us a new life. That God would bring desires for Him in the hearts of those you reach out to this season. Love you! God bless!

This SundayBronson and Shannon both had a chance to serve, teach and encourage your children! The amount of interaction was fantastic, their questions were being answered by eachother and every child was participating! They had a fantastic time together learning about their hero Jesus and understanding the Joy the angels proclaimed to the shepherds and all who witnessed the birth of Christ!
