STM Spring Auction, 2015: A Space Odyssey Tuition Raffle Tickets on Sale Now!!
The STM Annual Spring Auction will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at 6:30 p.m. in Burke Hall. Don’t miss your chance to win a Tuition Credit for the 2015-2016 school year! First prize is up to a $1500 Tuition Credit; second prize is up to a $1000 tuition credit; and third prize is up to a $750 tuition credit. Tickets are $20/ticket or $100/6 tickets if purchased in advance of the auction or $25/ticket at the door. Last day to advance purchase tickets is Thursday, March 19.
Raffle ticket order forms are available here (Dropbox login not required). Hard copies of the raffle ticket order form were sent home in back pack mail yesterday and are also available in the school office. To purchase tickets, please fill out the form as soon as possible and return it to the front office. Payments may be made via FACTS, check or cash. INSTANT WINE CELLAR -- DONATIONS BEING ACCEPTED NOW THROUGH MARCH 18TH!
Our Stock the Cellar event was a success but we can’t stop now! Help us build the biggest cellar yet by donating one or more bottles of wine ... and if we collect 100 bottles, we’ll raffle off TWO wine cellars the night of the auction!
What is the Instant Wine Cellar?
A sizable collection of donated bottles of wine is raffled off at the STM Auction each year and one lucky winner goes home with an “Instant Wine Cellar!” Last year’s winner took home over 45 bottles of wine!
Donations can be delivered to Tara Ashworth or Renee Richardson at pickup. If pickup doesn't work for you, please email email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange an alternate exchange time.
Thank you in advance for your generous donations and don’t forget to purchase your raffle tickets. Advance sales will be starting next week!
Need more incentive to donate? Red White and Bleu Wine & Gourmet Shop (the generous host of our Stock the Cellar Wine Tasting event last week) has offered to donate 10% of sales from March 15th - March 21st back to St. Thomas More. Used Uniform Sale Monday March 30th
The next used uniform sale will be Monday, March 30th in the cafeteria from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Please send any uniform contributions or bring them the day of the event.
The STM used uniform sales have been successful with yours support. Now, we need your help to fill the inventory again for the next sale.
As you clean out old uniforms to make room for those summer polos and shorts, please consider sending in your used uniforms to STM. Kids will grow and those long pants will be too short for next year, for sure!
If you have any uniforms that you can contribute to the used uniform hut supplies, please drop them to the STM Front Office or hand them off to Cristina Farias-Gomez or Mickey Grammatica Fletcher.
We thank you for making this a great activity for STM; it helps the STM families save money by passing along uniforms to each other for a discounted price and raises funds for the STM PTO.
SPRING ENRICHMENT REGISTRATION EXTENDED!
Exercise your child’s creative brain
Due to the recent inclement weather and many resulting snow days, registration for the Spring Enrichment session has been
extended through Noon on Monday, March 9th.
New this session, we will be offering classes on Minecraft programming, improv comedy, drawing and painting, and sports, in addition to student favorites like cooking, science, chess, and aviation. The Spring Enrichment session will run March 23 – May 15, and classes will take place 3:20-4:20pm.

Local Spring Break Camp Opportunity: April 6 - 10
Martial arts studio "Evolve All" will be offering a camp for the week of STM's Spring Break. The theme for the camp will be "The Complete Martial Arts Experience!" This camp will include a full uniform and have a special focus on progressing through the belt systems curriculum. This will be great for brand new members and current members who are looking to become the complete martial artist. See the flyer below or contact Evolve All for more details.

If you have put in hours of service to date, please be sure to log them via the web site in a timely manner If you have any questions about how many hours you have remaining currently, please email Nicole Mayer at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will be sending out balance due notices with your volunteer status to date.
Ways to Earn Volunteer Hours
- Friday Pizza Lunch - assist with pizza lunch or the Market Table (the kids are thrilled to see you there!)
- Auction Donations - Donate a popular item (American Girl, Apple Products, Video Games/Systems, Travel, Golf, Dining/Entertainment) or secure donations by asking your favorite restaurants, stylists, business owners for monetary or product donations.
- Auction (Night-of) Check-In - Spend 1-2 hours at the check-in table registering attendees as they enter the Auciton.
- Auction (Night-of) Check-Out - Spend 1-2 hours at the check-out table printing out invoices and closing attendee accounts.
- Auction (Night-of) Bid Processing - Spend 1-2 hours entering the winning bid numbers into the computer system.
- Auction (Night-of) Winning Bid Item Distribution - Spend 1+ hour turning over the product/certificate/item to the winning bidder upon check-out.
- Auction Set-Up (Friday afternoon/Saturday Day)
- Auction Decorations Committee - Work 1+ hour on Saturday to help turn Burke Hall into a Space Odyssey
- Auction Tech Crew - assist our Lighting/Sound committee with set-up
- Goods & Monetary Contribution - contributions to PTO events are valued at $15/service hour
