End of Life Planning & Counseling
With Dr. David Zuniga & Angela Morrow, RN, BSN, CHPN
Angela Morrow with Hospice Austin along with Dr. David Zuniga will provide free education about the importance of Advance Care Planning as well as how to have these conversations with patients and their families. We review advance directives and discuss how healthcare providers can bill for these conversations with their patients.
The attendees will receive 2 Professional Development hours. The APACenter is approved by the Texas Psychological Association to offer Professional Development credits. (TPA PD endorsement #2015-08.) Please check with your licensing board if you have questions about your hours. CE certifications also provided for RNs and social workers for this presentation.

David Zuniga, PhD Austin Psychologist
Dr. David Zuniga is a licensed psychologist in private practice in Austin, Texas. Previously, he was a faculty member in the Integrative Medicine Department at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He also earned a master's degree in comparative religion from Harvard, was ordained in South Korea as a Zen Buddhist priest, and worked for over a decade as a Zen/interfaith chaplain in pediatric and adult end-of-life healthcare. Dr. Zuniga also has a masters in English literature and enjoys speaking on a wide range of topics for both lay and professional audiences: www.drdavidzuniga.com.
Angela Morrow RN, BSN, CHPN
Angela Morrow graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University and has 16 years nursing experience, the last 14 years in hospice care. She has practiced in Virginia, California, and Texas and has worked as a case manager, admission nurse, and community educator. She was previously the Guide to Palliative Care for About.com (now .dash) where she authored many articles about palliative care and hospice for patients and their caregivers. Angela is board certified in hospice and palliative care and is a trainer for the End of Life Nursing Education Consortium.
