Why is the the soil fertile in the Midwest?
Midwest has fertile soil that's good for farming. But how did it the soil get so fertile? Glaciers in Canada pushed south and scraped layers of soil and rocks. Now the land is fresh, hard rock and the winds spread a fertile blanket, glaciers ground slit across the Midwest
Why is the Mississippi river so important?
Because it is a big part of transportation. Also because people depend on it for jobs and other things like that. That is also where we get most water from!
How big is the Midwest region?
Midwest is a region that extends from north and west from the Ohio river to Mississippi river.
How many states are in the Midwest region?
There are 12 states in the Midwest region. they are Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
