Weekly Staff Letter
November 6th - November 9th
High Quality Work Protocol NEXT MONDAY! (PD November 12th)
We will be conducting our High-Quality Work Protocol session on November 12. Some steps to help you prepare:
Determine the product you will share. This is a longer-term project (e.g. the product at the conclusion of a case study or a longer writing project).
Select three students’ products to share for the High-Quality Work Protocol Session. Each of the three products should be “accomplished”/ meet the standards based on the scoring tool. NOTE: We only need three samples per project. If your team is submitting work from the same project, three work samples from all of your classes will be sufficient.
Bring accompanying rubrics/tools. Bring the rubric that accompanies the product and any tools, such as organizers, that were used in supporting students to develop this piece of work. You do not need to bring lesson plans.
We will be conducting this protocol so that we as a staff...
- can engage in discussion to develop a shared understanding and vision of quality.
- identify patterns related to quality across student work.
- create a body of evidence as a school to showcase how student work has changed and improved over time.
If you have questions about the purpose or the process, please email Jaime, or feel free to talk with Dana or Kelly

Honor system
No one else can be around when eliminating a person from the game.
You cannot tell anyone if you have or have not been eliminated. (Don't ruin the game for others)
No one will be eliminated in their main place of work. (Own classroom, office....)
Kelly and Dana are not part of the game so don’t ask us to be part of your lame schemes…..
You will have to eliminate players of your team…..don’t be a sitting duck!
If you successfully eliminate a person from the game give your card to them so they may take the walk of shame to turn it into Kelly or Dana.
If you are eliminated give your card/assignment to the person who eliminated you and that will be their new assignment.
Private Tips may come your way throughout the game only from Kelly or Dana.
Last person in the game wins for their team. + $50 gift to EL Tap.
