Progress Reports Disseminated

Progress Reports were sent home this week. Please read the email message sent with the progress report link for an explanation of the progress indicators on the progress reports. These documents are available through the link for 14 days, so don’t forget to save them for your records. If you have any questions about your child's progress report, feel free to reach out to your child's teaching team directly if you did not already discuss during your PTCs.


Parent-Teacher Conferences

Thank you to our parents and families for your time in discussing your child(ren)'s student educational progress with us over these two days and 347 conferences. We thank you for your ongoing partnership and support.


Storytime Open House

We were fortunate to host Austin children's author, Lindsay Leslie at AIS this week for our Storytime Open House for prospective families. She read from her titles, Nova the Star Eater, Dusk Explorers, So You Want to Build a Library, & This Book is Spineless which can be purchased from Book People or Amazon. We thank our new families who were in attendance and Ms, Susan, Ms. Sarah, Mr. Peter, Ms. Claire, Ms. Claudine, and AIS student Batiste C. for reading along with us.


AIS Soccer Game - Mon., 4/11 4:30 pm

Come cheer on the AIS Owls at City School on Monday, 4/11 at 4:30 pm. Our Owls have played 2 games so far with a 1-1 record and look forward to defeating the next team on Monday. Come cheer them on!


STEAM Week - 4/25 thru 4/29

We can't wait to celebrate STEAM week with our community. Our students will work on projects about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math and will showcase student projects to other AIS classes as well as with you, our community members on Friday, April 29th.


STEAM Fair - Fri., 4/29

Stay tuned for more information about our 2022 STEAM Fair. Parents and community members will be invited to come view our student STEAM projects on Friday, April 29th in person!


May Break/No School - Mon., 5/2

Our school will be closed on the first Monday of May for a school break.


Teacher Appreciation Week - 5/3 thru 5/6

Join us in appreciating and showing the love to our faculty for all their hard work, love, and support shown to our student body throughout the year. Stay tuned about daily themes to appreciate all they do.


Head of School Coffee - Thur., 5/5 9:00 - 10:00 am

Come join us for an in-person Head of School coffee on Thursday morning, May 5th at 9 am for a community gathering in our courtyard.


Summer Camps at AIS

AIS has once again partnered with Kidz to Pros (KTP) who will hold their own KTP Summer Camps at Austin International School this summer. Please note that KTP is renting the school and they are responsible for all registration, staffing, and camp curriculum for these camps directly. Take advantage of an AIS discount with $75 off using code FLY75. Kidz to Pros camp serves students age 6 to 14 years of age.


AIS Adventure Camp for MS & GS

AIS will conduct our own summer camp for students who will be entering MS PreK 4 and GS, Kinder next school year. Both camps will be offered in French and English and will have arts and crafts, sports, and S.T.E.A.M. themes. Campers must be registered for a minimum of two weeks.

  • Our MS camp will be a half-day camp from 9 am to 12 pm for $175/week with optional early drop-off for $50/week. Maximum of 15 campers, minimum of 8. No after-camp care available.
  • Our GS camp will be a full-day camp from 9 am to 3 pm for $315/week with optional early drop-off for $50/week. Maximum of 15 campers, minimum of 8. No after-camp care available.
  • Discounts for campers registered for all 6 weeks.

AIS Spelling Bee Registration

Thank you for filling out your preliminary interest in an AIS Spelling Bee. We are happy to report we will host this event the first week of June for students in CP-4ème using the official Scripps Words of the Champions lists.
