From the desk of the Principal
Dear Parents/Guardians,
As we continue our quest for high achievement for every student, we will continue to plan, instruct, reteach and enrich learning that will challenge and stretch every student at Lesslie.
Our next Enrichment Day will be on Thursday, February 11th. Sessions will consist of hoop dancing and storytelling from the Catawba Reservation, and Colgate dental hygiene. Teachers will be collaborating from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. to improve instruction and student achievement.
February 12th is a make-up day for students and teachers.
This year students in 3rd, 4th and 5th grades will be taking SC READY assessment in ELA and Mathematics. The test will be administered on April 26th, 27th and 28th. The assessment will not be timed. Fourth and Fifth grade students will also take the PASS Science and Social Studies tests between May 11 – 27.
Congratulations to John Wimmer for winning the half-time completion at the Winthrop Eagles men’s basketball game on Saturday, January 30, 2016. John won an iPad mini and breakfast for the staff from BoJangle’s. Thanks, John!

Have you seen our Mini-Library? Stop by to borrow a book or you can leave a book too! Our Mini-Library is located in the circular area near the flag. It is so cute. It looks like a bee hive. Thanks, again Resolute! Thanks, Polk Electric for the bench!
