Barry Primary School
Newsletter, May 2023
From Mrs. Klumpp & Mrs. Block
This month we were lucky to have Jared Campbell join us! He performed songs about kindness, being brave, being an upstander and much more. He performed for each grade level and our students seemed to be inspired by his music. He also performed at the High School auditorium for our students and families. We are excited to have him back next year.
Starting May 1st our 2nd graders will begin participating in Safety Patrol. We have 27 students who applied and are eager to keep our school a safe place. Officer Reyngoudt and three other officers conducted a swearing in ceremony.
We are excited for upcoming events and fun at Barry Primary! We are planning for our next ROAR party which will be based around the children’s book, “All Are Neighbors”. The equity team has been sharing with our staff and students about diversity, inclusion, and equity and this ROAR party will include activities with community partners who will share more about this. Students will be creating self portraits and more!
Each grade level has field trips coming up in the next two months. Please communicate with your child’s teacher for any information. We have been reviewing rules around safety as students have the opportunity to leave campus.
