ELECTROMAGNETS
Electromagnets are very useful
INTRODUCTION
WHAT ARE ELECTROMAGNETS?
Electromagnets are magnets that work with electricity and a magnetic material that is made of soft iron, meaning, less carbon. Inside them they have an electric current that makes a magnetic field. Mostly electromagnets are used a lot in junkyards for moving very heavy objects, so that means electromagnets are very strong.
HOW DO YOU MAKE AN ELECTROMAGNET?
It is actually easy to build an electromagnet. All that you need to do is wrap some plastic-coating around a wire. The wire doesn't need to be made of a magnetic material. Then wrap the wire around an iron nail. After if you attached a battery to the wire, an electric current will begin to flow, and then the iron nail will become magnetized.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ELECTROMAGNETS AND REGULAR MAGNETS?
WHAT THINGS USE ELECTROMAGNETS?
Electromagnets are used for:
Electric doors: To open an electric door you need to have an electromagnets because when you are doing a move to open the door or something an electromagnets pull a metal to open the door.
Cars windows: To get down or up a window of a car you need electromagnets because when you touch the bottom an electromagnet pull a metal.
Junkyards: Electromagnets are used too in junkyards to move metal and things that are very heavy like trains cars…
An a lot more things use electromagnets
CONCLUSION
Electromagnets are very easy to build, and they can be controlled. They aren’t dangerous. They are more useful than regular magnets, and they work with electricity. The magnetic material is made of soft iron and we need them all the time.
