SITE VISIT THIS WEEK...
The observations are scheduled in the morning and classrooms were selected based on who was teaching during that time. CDE also wants to meet with staff members--again, people were selected based on their availability during CDE's timeframe for meetings.
Annessa will send more details to those teachers whose classrooms will be visited and to those who have been invited to talk with CDE.
REMINDER: CREW meetings will be flexed this week due to our site visit. Teams should plan to meet at a time that works for them to discuss students using the current protocol.
Please remember to take time to complete the TLCC Survey. If you did not pick up a code at the last staff meeting, see Karen. Due date has been extended by CDE.
when you need to be out...
If you are planning to take a day off, please put it in the system as early as possible.
Please ensure you are reaching out to substitute teachers to arrange sub coverage for your absence. Let Karen know which subs you contacted.
In the event that a sub cannot cover, teachers will cover during their planning periods.

Hot Topics...
If you take your class to an alternate location...please remember to send a chat to the office about your alternate location as well as leave a note on your door for anyone who arrives late.
Student absences...Please remember to report irregularities in student class attendance right away. We are able to work together to catch students skipping if teachers alert us via chat if a student is absent in your class, but has been present in earlier classes.
Passes at lunch...are always required for student to leave the lunchroom and visit a teacher's class (as we want to keep the halls clear and protect your lunch time). Please give students a pass if they need to leave the lunchroom as well as if they are leaving your room and will arrive late to the cafeteria. We are having students sign out of the cafeteria as we want to hold students accountable for their whereabouts and also know where to find them if a parent comes to pick them up. Thank you so much for your help with this.
