Edible Garden Planting Season
Regardless of the cold weather - it is time to start thinking of what to plant in the grade level beds. Each year around this time (right after spring break) it is good to plant the seeds so they are ready to be transplanted to the garden before school lets out for summer.
Last year the 5th grade prepared the beds (cleaned up old plant material) and prepared a 1'x1' grid made from string.
Deb Crocker and I are available as in years past to help. Please let us know what you need. We will plan on preparing a volunteer schedule for summer weekly helpers.
As a reminder the kindergarten bed is almost all perennials, so everything in their bed should come back.
Thanks!

Adobe Spark For Education
This week I have a new publishing tool that I tried out a few weeks back in Mr. Ferrara’s class. Adobe Spark is a great way to create short videos, and engaging presentations on the web. In 1st grade we used it to create awesome visual book trailers. Adobe has just launched their education site that makes it even easier to use your classrooms. Check out this link https://spark.adobe.com/edu/ to see how you can incorporate this easy tech tool in your classroom.
