Student Pick Up and Drop Off Reminder
Please be aware of the signage in front of the high school. Fire Lane: No Parking, No Stopping, No Standing. Violators will be ticketed. Student drop off before school should occur on the north side of the campus or in the front of the school (only before 7:00am) and pick up after school should only occur on the north side of the building. The front drive is designated for buses only after 7am and after school, and parents should not be using the student parking lot for picking up or dropping off their students. Thank you for your understanding and we appreciate your cooperation.

Attention KM Campus Students: We are currently in the process of converting student logins for the Infinite Campus Portal. If you are unable to login to the portal using your student number, initials, and birthday combination please use your KM network username and password.
KM Drama Club has its kick off meeting TODAY at 2:45 in the auditorium! Students of all ages from across the HS campus are highly encouraged to come check things out. Information about Auditions (Sept 11-12), Homecoming, and special fall stage combat workshops are on the agenda with some other fun. It is never too late to join Drama Club!
Interact Club will have its first meeting of the year on Wednesday, Sept. 12 during Advisory in room D23 in Global. We are a service club that focuses on making a difference in our local and global community. We do project planning, fundraising, and community service. Sign up with your advisory teacher or stop to see Mrs. Weber in Global if you have any questions.
Attention All Marketing Students: If you are interested in joining DECA this year, please see Mr. Dellis or Mrs. Dugger in room D25 to sign up. If you would like to learn more about KM's DECA Chapter, you can sign up for DECA Information Sessions during advisory the next two Wednesdays (September 12th and September 19th).
We are looking for students who are interested in taking part in respectful conversations and social actions around race, gender, cultural and ethnic issues. If this describes you, please ask your teacher for an application to Unity Club today or see Dr. Martin (Room 537) or Ms. Jones (Room D36) for more information.
COUNSELING NEWS
The Dick Ohm Merit Award applications are now available. Applications are available in the Counseling Office or students can find the application under Counseling on the HS website. This is an opportunity for KM students to be recognized for their participation in school activities, exhibiting a positive attitude in class, service in the school and/or community, and have demonstrated leadership through good behavior and citizenship during the school year. Applications are due to the Counseling Center by March 7, 2019.
The Wisconsin Education Fair (WEF) will be held locally on Tuesday, September 18, from 6:30-8:30 pm, at Arrowhead High School and on Wednesday, September 19 from 6:00-8:00pm, at New Berlin West High School. Students and parents can meet and speak with representatives from universities, technical colleges, vocational schools and all the branches of the military.
The National College Fair will be at the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee on Sunday, September 30 from 3 - 6 p.m. This free event allows students to interact with admission representatives from a wide range of post secondary institutions to discuss career majors, admission and financial aid requirements, college life, and other information pertinent to the college selection process. DePaul University will be hosting a regional reception for area high schools students during which they can discover everything DePaul and Chicago have to offer. Students can learn about their application process, financial aid, the variety of academic programs and the unique benefits of attending DePaul. This event will take place at the Crowne Plaza Milwaukee West, 10499 W Innovation Dr, Wauwatosa, WI 53226, on Friday, September 14 at 7-8:30 pm. UW-Madison is coming to Milwaukee! Students are invited to join UW-Madison for an Information Session and Campus Resource Fair in Milwaukee on Sunday, September 23. The day will start with an admissions information session, introducing you to their holistic admissions process and their favorite aspects of a UW-Madison education. Then hear from a panel of current students and alumni, talking about their unique Wisconsin experiences. Representatives from offices across campus will be on hand to answer questions during the Campus Resource Fair. The event is located at 1451 N Prospect Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53202. Are you interested in a Service Academy nomination? Interested high school students, teachers and parents are invited to meet representatives from the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, U.S. Military Academy and the U.S. Naval Academy, Saturday, September 15th from 10:00-12:30 p.m. at the Experimental Aircraft Association, EAA Aviation Center in Oshkosh, WI for Academy Day 2018. Are you responsible, driven, and want to be part of a team? See Mr. B. Bestor in Room 531 if you want to be a manager for the boys basketball team this winter.
Come join us for dinner! The KM Football program is hosting a tailgate dinner before the game against Arrowhead HS. Dinner will be served in the Shot Put field to the south of the turf field between 4:30-6:30 pm. Tickets will be sold at the door for $6 and include a choice of a hamburger, brat, or hot dog, chips, cookie and a drink. Football players already have 2 tickets from their football fees. A plate at the door will serve as your ticket. Come join the fun and get pumped up to cheer on the Lasers against Arrowhead!
