Our first Collaborative Planning day is coming up Wednesday, September 21st. On this day, we will dismiss school at 11:20. If your child's going home transportation will be different this day, please let the teacher know or call the front office at 803-821-0100.


Thank you for your participation in our PTA fundraiser. Our last day to turn in purchased items will be on Tuesday, September 20th. Our next PTA event will be an OGE Spirit Night at Chipotle also on September 20th from 4-8 PM. Please see the flyer below for more information. We hope to see you there!

Early Release - Wednesday, Sept. 21

This Wednesday, September 21 will be the district's first collaborative planning day of the school year. Lunch will be provided and dismissal will be at 11:20 am.

Looking For Little Patriots

Little Patriots is a 14-week family engagement program for families of 3 and 4-year-old children who are not currently enrolled in a Lexington One preschool program.


This preK program is for the parent/caregiver and child to participate together at the school in weekly learning activities that help build skills for preschool and beyond. Little Patriots meet once a week on Thursdays at 11:00 for a thirty minute class. Our first session starts on September 29.


Each session includes play-based activities using a toolkit of books and materials provided to each child. There is no cost to participate and all materials are provided at no cost to you. 4th Grade - Explores Light

Ms. Swift's 4th grade students recently explored light in Science class using objects that are opaque, translucent, and transparent. They were amazed by what they saw. We love how learning is so much fun!

Ms. Howell's Class Earned Pajama Day

Ms. Howell's class received 25 compliments from others, therefor earning themselves a pajama day! They were quite comfortable while learning today.

Colors All Around

Ms. Derrick's preschool students went on a color hunt finding an endless number of different colors throughout the school. Take a second and look around, what colors do you see?

Lunch Balance

Does your child need lunch money put on their account? You can add money to your student’s lunch account by visiting https://family.titank12.com/. The cost for lunch is $3.30.


The Family Portal allows you to see your student’s current balance and purchase history. You may also transfer money between student accounts, if you have more than one child.

Family Resource Center

Did you know that we have a Family Resource Center at Oak Grove? The resource center will be open for families on Fridays from 8 am to 9 am.


The center is a great place to come for resources that you might need to help reinforce skills that are being taught in the classroom. Materials may be signed out and kept at your home for a week. Please check out some of the great resources that we have! If the Friday hours are not convenient for you, just call Marie Lewis at 803-821-0150 to arrange another time to stop by!

PLEASE REMAIN IN VEHICLE:

For safety reasons and to keep traffic flowing, we need all parents to remain in their vehicle when dropping off or picking up their student in the car line.


  • Staff will assist in helping your child out or putting your child in the car.
  • Staff will help your child in the vehicle on the passenger side avoiding the traffic lane on the driver's side.

When Do I Need My Driver's License?

If needing to dismiss a student or joining them for lunch, a driver's license or photo ID is required for identification purposes. To dismiss a student, that individual will need to be on the child's approved contact list provided by the parent/guardian. Thank you for your understanding.

What Is The Latest I Can Dismiss My Child?

Early Dismissal of a student will need to be before 2:00 pm and in person. We can not take any dismissal requests over the phone. A driver's license will be needed as well as be on the approved contact list in order to dismiss a student.

Reporting COVID

Dear Lexington District One Families:


Lexington District One students and staff continue to learn, work and live with COVID-19 with minimal disruptions. Our schools are operating normally, and DHEC no longer requires close contacts to quarantine.


Please remember that students who are sick with COVID-19 or test positive must continue to isolate, meaning they must stay at home from school.


We recently updated the way to report your student’s COVID-19 positive test results for the 2022–23 school year.


All student reports of a positive COVID-19 test result will be completed through the COVID-19 report form found in PowerSchool Parent Portal. The previous Google form link is no longer accepting responses.


After logging on to Parent Portal, select ‘Forms’ in the navigation bar, then fill out and submit the “COVID-19 Reporting Form.” We will then email you further information on when your student may return to school and school-sponsored events.
