What is RAM?
What is RAM, and what is it?; Why is it needed?
What is it?
RAM, or as it is more known as Random Access Memory, is a non-volatile storage type that stores necessary files such as the Operating System, Apps and more!
What happens when you close a computer? What does the RAM do?
Since it is non-volatile, all of the information stored in the RAM is lost. Therefore is it advised to save certain files as it would be lost.
What is the advantage of having a RAM?
The RAM allows the computer to be faster, as all information was stored on the HDD (Hard drive-disk) therefore the more storage you used, the more slower your computer would become. RAM eliminates this process by losing all of that information you still keep all of that original information on HDD. The HDD still keeps some of the core components.
