Woodrow Wilson ~ President of United States. Wanted to stay neutral until The Zimmermann Telegram and The German sub sinker
Arthur Zimmermann ~ Wrote the infamous Zimmermann telegram

It grew into a war involving 32 countries. The Allies included Britain,France, Russia, Italy and the United States. These countries fought against the Central Powers which included Germany, Austria-Hungary,Ottoman Empire and Bulgaria
What caused U.S to enter WW1?
The U.S was being taunted by Germans and had enemies close by that they had to be able to protect themselves from.
How did Texas play an important role in the war?
Many Texans joined the war, and we had many bases used for training.
How did WW1 end?
The Allies (U.S side) basically just won by outlasting the other side. They came back with harder forces to beat and just won.

Identify Herbert Hoovers involvement in the Great Depression:
Herbert Hoover was the president at the time and is the one blamed. All the "Hoovervilles" where homeless people would stay is really a jab at Hoover.
Questions:
How did FDR pull us out of the Great Depression?
Franklin Roosevelt pulled us out of the Great Depression by issuing government jobs that paid people. Money began to flow again. He also set up foundations to protect the stocks.
What caused the dust bowl and how did it affect Texas?
A severe drought and failure to apply dryland farming made the dustbowl so bad, and since people couldn't harvest their crops ( a main way Texans made money) the economy flopped.
Which New Deal programs were important to Texas?
Relief for the economy was, in my eyes, the most important because of how Texas' oil and agricultural markets crashed. This program put us back on our feet.
How were tenant farmers and miners affected by the great depression?
These people lived off their bosses pay checks so they could get the supplies needed to work, and when their bosses became broke, so did they.

World War 2 was fought between two groups of countries. On one side were the Axis Powers, including Germany, Italy and Japan. On the other side were the Allies. They included Britain, France, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, India, the Soviet Union, China and the United States of America.
Germany was ruled by Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party. Hitler wanted Germany to control Europe. Japan wanted to control Asia and the Pacific. In 1937 Japan attacked China. In 1939 Germany invaded Poland. This is how World War 2 began.
Some countries did not join the war, but stayed neutral (on neither side). Spain, Sweden and Switzerland were neutral countries. So was Ireland, though many Irish people helped the Allies.
How did Texas contribute to the nation’s military effort in fighting World War II?
Texas donated troops and hosted bases for training and plotting.
How did life changed for Texans on the home front during World War II?
Texans were missing their family members and everything was rationed. Much of the stuff they relied on was lessened due to rations.
How did WWII end?
The Axis powers surrendered after the atomic bombs dropped.
