Cape's Mission & Vision

Mission: To provide a safe and supportive learning community where every student experiences success.

Vision: We believe that the most promising strategy for achieving the mission of Cape Elementary is to develop our capacity to function as a professional learning community.

Message from Ms. Osterholm and Mrs. Sund

Dear Cape Families,

February is the month when we celebrate and remember those who make our days immeasurably richer. Daily, we receive hugs and smiles and hear proud words about recent achievements from our students. The joys they share with us are the highlights of our days! Please join with me in commending the teachers at Cape for their dedication to enriching and meeting our students’ academic and social needs. Our support staff members including our paraprofessionals, office staff, cafeteria teams, and custodial crew give willingly to make sure our students, families and teachers are supported in their educational journey. You, as parents, are our partners, constantly offering your support wherever needed. We are all members of the Cape family, and it is that sense of family that provides the cohesiveness to accomplish great things!

We look forward to seeing everyone at our Movie Night on Friday, February 10 at 6:30 p.m. on our PE Field. More details will be coming soon about the movie and food being served that evening.

Safety continues to be a focus at Cape Elementary. We appreciate all the parents who walk their tardy students to the front office doors in the morning. We also thank parents who keep their phone numbers, addresses and email addresses up-to-date. Remember all communication including emergency communication will now go through School Messenger. We send messages about once a week via phone and email. If you have not received messages that means we do not have your correct information.

Don’t forget that Friday, February 17 was originally scheduled as a Hurricane Make-Up Day however due to school closure for Hurricane Ian, school will be open as a regular school day for students and staff. Also, Wednesday, February 22 was originally scheduled as an Early Dismissal Day but will now be a full day. School will be closed Monday, February 20 for President’s Day.

We continue to be thankful to lead Cape each day.

Sincerely,

Ms. Osterholm and Mrs. Sund
