Always make sure that you have vegetables with at least 2 of your meals a day. It's hard to gain weight even if you overeat vegetables, that's how healthy they are! They fit with the human body like a glove and is essential for a balanced diet. The picture below shows how many veggies you should be eating a day depending on your sex and age.

Calcium

As you are trying to lose weight it's very important to drink plenty of milk so you can keep your bones strong. Especially for older women, your bones get very fatigue and tons of women have very weak bones. The government says that everyone should be having 3 cups of fat-free or low-fat milk a day.

Water

While trying to change your eating habits you might forget about the most essential thing to our bodies, water! You need to be drinking plenty of water to stay hydrated if you are working out outside in the Texas heat and what not. The government says that you should be having 8-12 cups of water a day. Water has lots of minerals from the earth and it's 60% of your body, so drink up those earthly minerals!

Fruits

Personally, I absolutely love fruit and I eat way to much of it. I just crave that refreshing taste when you bite into a juicy apple or strawberry. Try it if you don't like it and if you still don't like it, force your taste buds to change. Because the reason you crave it is because your body wants it and needs it. The picuture below shows how many servings of fruit you need a day based on age and sex.

Motivation

You have to be active, stick to the right foods and beat your eating habits, and most importantly, believe in yourself! Because if you don't believe you can active, then you will never achieve. Believe, lose, and see what you will gain.
