BisoNews Special Edition!

For the first time in a long while. PTO and Second Creek will not be partnering with an outside organization for our annual fundraiser. This means 100% of pledges come to our school. In the past, 50% of everything we raised went to the organization running the fundraiser. This is GREAT NEWS! 100% of the profits also means 100% of the work for our PTO. We want to say thank you to our PTO members for all of their hard work so far. This BisoNews Special Edition is all about our Bison Stampede. Please read on and do not hesitate to call if you need any help or have questions.

Friday - SEPTEMBER 16TH - RACE DAY!

Join us as we race away on Friday, September 16th. Grade levels will race according to the schedule below:

Kindergarten: 8:10am- 9:05am
1st Grade: 9:05am-10am
Preschool AM: 10am-10:50am
2nd Grade: 10:50am-11:45am
5th Grade: 11:45am-12:40pm
3rd Grade: 12:45pm-1:40pm
4th Grade: 1:40pm - 2:35pm
Preschool PM: 2:35pm-3:20pm

On the day of the race, we ask that all students wear their grade-level colored t-shirt. If your child lost or damaged his/her shirt, we have a small amount of replacements in the office. They are $10 each - cash only.

Parents and guardians, join us! You do not have to check in - just come to the field behind the modulars and cheer your little Bison on!

What Are we Raising Money for?

This fundraiser will raise money for our music program, among other things (please read the complete list on the flyer above). Our music teacher rocks! Ms. McCown has been making miracles happen with outdated technology . She currently uses a very small boombox for her performances. We want to be able to have a nice sound system, wireless microphones and raisers, in order to expand what we are currently doing with music at Second Creek. Again, all pledges go directly to our school, so we appreciate your efforts with this fundraiser.

Fun Things to Win!

We are excited that when prizes are won, they are won per class this year. We are proud of doing something that includes all students - not just the ones that are able to make a financial pledge. Here is what has already been won:

Ms. Grovum (3rd Grade) - first class to raise $1,000 (sing a helium song) and first class to raise $2,000 (cereal with principal)
Ms. Sword (Kindergarten) - highest increase from 9/8-9/9 (movie & popcorn)
