Show shirts have arrived! Please plan to wear your new T-shirt to Hall Band this week.
7:30 a.m. – report to band room and get instruments

FOOTBALL GAME – 9/20
This week’s game is at HOME! All marching band students should report to the band room by 6:00 p.m. This week we play Milton High AND it’s 8th Grade Night at Roswell High. Arrive early; it’s going to be crowded!

· Roswell High has a new “clear bag” policy for all RHS sporting events!
The Roswell PTSA is selling clear vinyl tote bags with the Roswell High School logo on them. The bags will be needed across all public events in venues at RHS. You can buy one for $7 in the school store.
If you want to order a meal for this week’s game ONLY, you must place your order Thursday night (9/19) by 10:00 p.m. Students can walk over to the Away Concessions Stand during the 3rd Quarter and pick up their prepaid meal. FULTON COUNTY MARCHING BAND EXHIBITION – 9/21
Performers from across Fulton County will present their collective talents during the annual Fulton County Marching Band Exhibition beginning at 5:45 p.m. on September 21, 2019. Join us for an evening of performances featuring 9th -12th grade high school student musicians sharing their musical and visual entertainment excellence. The Exhibition takes place at the Cambridge High School Stadium in

10:00 to 2:00 Rehearsal at Practice Field
3:30 Change into bibbers
4:00 Depart for Cambridge HS
6:00 RHS Band must be in the stands
7:10 Roswell Band performs
10:45 Estimated arrival back at RHS
· Every spectator will need to purchase a ticket to get into the stadium, even if they are arriving late.
· Tickets are $5 per person; children 5 and under get in free.
· They will accept cash, checks, and credit cards at the gate.
· All chaperones, staff, and band students enter free of charge.
· All spectators will enter and exit from Cogburn Road (either into Cambridge HS or across the street to Kings Ridge).
· Spectator parking is free, and will be in the lots immediately to the left and right after entering the campus. (While parking is free, spectators must pay $5 for a ticket to the event.)
· Handicap parking is available in the lot closest to the stadium prior to 5:45 p.m. After 5:45, overflow handicap parking will be reserved in the main spectator lot.
Parents: please check your phone around 10:30 p.m. on the evening of September 21. Mr. Moon will text you to let you know our estimated arrival time back at the school. The band room will close 30 minutes after we arrive. Please be prompt when picking up your student after the EVENT.

CLASSROOM BAND REMINDERS
TWO REHEARSALS SCHEDULED FOR CONCERT BAND
· Wednesday, September 25 (Band Room) from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
· Wednesday, October 2 (Band Room) from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
If you are missing a rehearsal, you must complete an Excused Absence Form electronically and submit to Mr. Moon BEFORE the date. Please be aware that even though a form has been submitted, it does not mean the absence has been approved. Mr. Moon will contact you directly to let you know.

BAND BOOSTERS UPDATES
It’s time we press hard on the gas! The big drawing is November 16, but we still need to sell and turn in tickets. Please don’t procrastinate. There is a lot of tickets floating around out there.
The target is 45 tickets per student:
- First Checkpoint: Sell 25 tickets by 9/25. On Wednesday, 9/25, come by the Band Room anytime from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. to drop off orders and pick up your next 20 tickets
- Second Checkpoint: Sell next 20 tickets by 10/20
If you sold tickets already, turn them in now. Submit any sold ticket stubs with cash/checks into the RHS Front Office so you can qualify for weekly prizes: free movies, coffee, go karting, bowling and fun at Andretti’s.
- JEEP Team Contest Begins 9/17
On Tuesday, 9/17 we had a “draft” and created FOUR outstanding teams to support each other in selling tickets. One winner will receive the Grand Prize (TBA). If your student does not have tickets, he/she wasn’t selected to be on a team. You can still email firstname.lastname@example.org to get tickets!
- Jeep Event/Alive in Roswell – 9/19
With the support of the Roswell Rotary Club, we will have a table set up with signage and THE JEEP. We will be at the corner of Norcross Street / Canton Street selling Raffle Tickets. We’d love for you to help! Come on out and promote the band. Note: We are only asking for parent volunteers at this particular event. We suggest you park at the Roswell Library and walk up to the Norcross/Canton intersection. Contact email@example.com with any questions.
- Jeep Meet-up - 9/25, (Band Room lobby, near Mr. Moon's office)
Families are encouraged to drop off first orders (25 sold) and pick up additional tickets. Target is 45 tickets sold per student. That’s 25 by 9/25; 20 more by 10/20.
- Aurora Cineplex Event – 9/29

Extravabandza food truck night is fast approaching! Volunteer sign ups are now available on CHARMS! We are having a bake sale, so we will need a lot of yummy, individually wrapped snacks. It will be a great night with food trucks, face painting, a DJ, trick or treating for the kids, Star Wars characters and a whole lot more. The night ends with the Hornet Swarm performing their show with commentary by Mr. Moon! Ticket purchases can be made online or at the door. Make sure to tell your friends and neighbors about this fun family night!
Please donate candy for our Trick or Treaters! Place your unopened bags of candy in the box labeled “ExtravaBANDza” just outside of Mr. Moon’s office.

Our mattress sale is coming up next month! All this fundraiser requires is advertising on our part! Flyers are available in the Band Room. Yard signs will also be available.
