School starts on Wednesday!

We are thrilled to have all students back on campus this Wednesday! We have worked hard to prepare for a safe environment and a rigorous curriculum. We are looking forward to bringing joy to our students, staff, parents and community every day.

Who is my teacher?

Teacher assignments will be posted in Parent Portal. Please log on Tuesday, August 17 after 3PM to see which class your child will be in. Parent Portal click here

We will also have a team outside school on the first day with class lists for your convenience.

Gates open at 7:40 AM

Please be aware of your child's arrival gate - TK/K Gate 1, 1st/2nd Gate 2, 3rd-5th Main Gate

Breakfast is served to all students

Do not drop off before 7:30 AM

*Parents will not be allowed on campus but we will have teachers and student leaders ready to assist with getting students where they need to be

Back to School Night

Back to School Night will occur on August 26th from 6:00-7:00 pm. It will be held virtually over Zoom this year. Individual teachers will be emailing you the Zoom links. Administration and PTA would like to invite you to a 30 minute presentation and information session at 5:30 pm. The link will be sent closer to the date.

School Reopening Guidebook 2021-2022

Please click HERE to access the district School Reopening Guidebook. This is a living document that is updated as changes are made. It is a guidebook for students, parents, and staff to use as the main reference for all of the support systems, rules, and procedures that will be in place for all Vista Unified campuses.

Here is a quick reference of what you can expect:

  1. Masks are required for all students and staff indoors, regardless of vaccination status.

  2. Masks are optional outdoors at recess and lunch.

  3. We ask that students wear their mask as they enter the gate in the morning and during dismissal.

  4. If your student is not feeling well, please keep them at home. Students will be sent home if they have any COVID symptoms.

  5. Please inform the school if your child has been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID or if your child tests positive.

  6. Quarantining guidelines will followed by the school.

  7. There are no social distancing requirements and there is no spacing requirement between student desks.

  8. We will no longer conduct daily temperature checks.

  9. Students will participate in hand washing breaks and hand sanitizing.

  10. At this time, no parent volunteers will be allowed on campus. *First day of school will be “Kiss your kid at the gate” for everyone.

Free Breakfast and Lunch for all learners

Complete the Registration Process for your Child


All students TK-5 must complete this Data Confirmation Process. This is the final step in confirming your child’s enrollment for 2021-22!

This process will allow parents to verify student data, update emergency contact information, and acknowledge and review critical district information and policies.

Please Note: You do NOT need to print out any documents (even if it says so in Parent Portal). Your signature online is all we need.

Step 1: Complete the data confirmation process by logging into the Parent Portal HERE. If you forgot your password, select the “forgot password” option. (New families: An email from Parent Portal will have been sent to you after you registered in the office with a link to create an account)

Step 2: You will need your child’s 9 digit student ID to complete several of the forms. You can locate this number in parent portal by following these steps:

  • Select Student Info

  • Select Profile

  • Select General

  • Example

Step 3: Be sure to fill out these important documents while you complete data confirmation.

  • Alternative Income Verification

  • Student Health History

  • Acceptable Use Policy/Device Insurance. Please be prepared to purchase the $20 device insurance with your credit card or come to the office with cash to complete the process. Device insurance protects the iPads when they are brought home.

Step 4: Complete data confirmation for EACH child attending THE Leadership Academy. Select “change student” on the top tab to complete for another child.
