FMS @ a Glance
April 9-13, 2018
School Board Study Session 4.9.18
1. Hire a Dean of Students and a Behavior Interventionist.
2. Improve the camera system by adding updated cameras and adding more cameras.
3. Consider making the Student Services secretary a full-time position.
4. Introduce the idea of a Middle-Level ALC program.
5. Hire additional lunch supervision/hallway monitor.
We would like to invite staff to be present at the study session in order to help answer questions that the Board may have of us. The Board is willing to support change at FMS and your input could make a large impression on what is needed to improve the behavior concerns of our building.
Please consider attending the 5:30 pm meeting. Please let me know if you will be in attendance. I would love to see as many people there as possible, even if we can get a couple people to attend with Amber, Kelly, and myself - we could send a loud message to the Board. I apologize for the short notice.

Nurse Lisa Notes:
Just a reminder with the start of the new quarter.
Many of our students have health conditions that school staff need to be aware of. These students are flagged by a blue medical symbol in IC.
When in Infinite Campus if you see a blue symbol labeled Health
Condition by a student's name, please click on it. It will have medical information
you should know about that child. A short condensed action plan
will also be in this area. It is your responsibility to be aware of any students in your class
with health conditions and to know their plan.
If at any time throughout the school year, you become aware
of a health condition or change in the status of a student please contact me.
If you have any questions about your student's conditions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Paras, if you have new students this quarter, please ask your teachers, or stop by my office to see if your students have medical conditions that you should be aware of.

Deposit slips
Please see attached a new deposit report form that I would like you to use and discard any others that you may have in your desk.
Please note that there a few changes on the report form.
1) If you are submitting more than ten checks, please come and get the deposit bank stamp to stamp the back of the checks.
2) If you are depositing into an 01 account, Wells Fargo no longer accepts large amounts of coin unless they are in coin wrappers. I now have wrappers for you to put the coin into. Wells Fargo got rid of their coin machine. You may also want to consider not accepting coin.
I do have copies available in the office, you do not need to print this out unless you are going to enter your commonly most used account number so it’s permanent on the form for you. If you are unsure of a revenue deposit code, please see me!
Thank you for your assistance!

Bowl for Kids' Sake
STRIKE! STRIKE! STRIKE!
Wednesday, April 18
3:30-5:00 PM
It is time once again for the annual Bowl for Kids' Sake event. The money raised at this event goes to Big Brothers Big Sisters. Each school in the district is asked to get at least one team to represent their school. Each team consists of 5 people and each school can have as many teams as they wish!
Yes, we have a staff meeting that day, but Mike has said "Yes - staff can be excused. I anticipate this being an important meeting with finalized details for 18-19 school year planning and so it is important that staff get caught up with the information." If you are interested in setting up a team or want more information, send me an e mail or stop by B103.
Thanks!
