Dyer's Fit-A-Thon: Go for the Gold! Final Results
Dear Parents,
We are so excited to share our final numbers with you! With your help, our school raised a total of $27,680 in just two weeks! That is absolutely incredible! Prize winners were announced yesterday. If your child won an Academy Gift Card, it will be in their Friday folder this afternoon. Classes that won the private color run will have that event on the same day that they have their field day. Digital students who's class won the color run, can pick up their "to-go" color run kit in the front office during school hours. Our folks that won a fit bit or grand prize will also need to come to the office to pick up and sign for their prize.
Thank you to EVERYONE that helped support our fundraiser, it was a huge success because of your efforts!
Thank You to Our Amazing PTO!

A Note from the Clinic:
Hi DYER families!
It's hard to believe we are almost at the end of another school year!
As we start to wrap up, I wanted to go ahead and send out information about picking up your child's medication(s) from the clinic. I have sent home letters with your student if I have meds in the clinic for them. Please read and indicate your preference for picking up or disposing of those meds and return to the clinic by May 17. We will then schedule a time to pick up when school is out!
Thank you!

Field Day 2021!
Hi Dyer families!
Here is all the information you might need for Field Day this year. Field day will be held on the following dates:
Friday 5/7 - Grades K & 1
Friday 5/14 - Grades 2 & 4
Friday 5/21 - Grades 3 & 5
Activities for all grade levels will begin at 9:00a.m. and end by 2:00pm. Classes will eat lunch during their regularly scheduled lunch time. There will be approximately ten to twelve stations set up on the blacktop, back field, and in the gym. Please note: information about Virtual Field Day can be found below.
Throughout the day, students will rotate from station to station as a class with their teacher. They will be participating in a wide variety of activities including relays and other team and individual events. We will unfortunately not be able to have Tug of War or Face Painting this year but there will be music playing all day long!
Please make sure that your child wears appropriate shoes for this day and that sunscreen is applied at home prior to arriving at school. Students are allowed to wear hats on Field Day. Restroom and water breaks are scheduled throughout the day and water bottles will be provided. While Field Day might look a little different this year, we are still looking forward to a wonderful day!

Student Placement for 2021-2022
When considering student placement for the upcoming school year there are several criteria we consider to ensure academic success for all of our students.
Our job is to ensure that there is a highly-qualified, passionate teacher in every classroom who believes that all students can learn, and challenges each child to meet his/her potential. Each teacher provides a safe and secure environment for students, and each teacher works with the others on the grade level to plan rigorous yet differentiated lessons.
However, even though our teachers provide input on unique student needs, if you have a concern, we want you to be able to share that information with us. You can do so by completing this electronic form. All forms should be submitted no later than Friday, May 14, 2021. We will not be able to accept forms after that date. The form allows you to write about the type of learning environment that will be most successful for your child, along with any additional information that should be considered. Please note,
we do not honor specific teacher requests in the placement of children at Dyer.
