LeadershipFirst Newsletter
Hello! Wow, how this month has flown! There are so many new and exciting things happening in our new spaces, along with all of the wonderful events and ministries that continue to Welcome people for Christ, Grow people in Christ and Serve people with Christ!
In this newsletter, you will find information from Pastor Rich, news about Ash Wednesday, as well as MANY serving opportunities.
Please prayerfully consider where you can best help out! And if none of these things work for you, then please consider this question, "Who do you know who would be a fit for this opportunity." Don't be shy about sharing the needs with those you know and helping connect folks to ministry areas!
Don't miss the funny pages at the very bottom for a good laugh!
And full disclosure...this month's edition isn't nearly as pretty, as it wasn't done by the usual pro. Hollis, we promise to have content to you in a timely manner next month! Everyone, please bear with the non-professional as I made an attempt at this month's edition!
Blessings!

Pastor Rich's Requiem
The opening of the Worship and Arts Center is complete. We’re excited for this new space and the lives that will be transformed here. We do have some needs, we need volunteer greeters if anyone's interested. Beyond that we’re asking people to:
- Come to Access worship every Sunday
- Invite everyone you can
- From the moment you come on campus, think of yourself as a host to guests, introduce yourself to people you don't know, find out where they're headed and walk them there
- In worship greet people you don't know first before reconnecting with old friends
Let’s all make Access the best worship service it can be!

Access Modern Worship Volunteers Needed
As ACCESS opens it’s doors at a new time and in a new exciting worship space, we need your help more than ever to make the experience as welcoming as possible!
The Ask:
Please prayerfully consider serving on our ACCESS Welcoming Team once a month.
The Details:
• You will be assigned a specific week to serve (i.e. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th Sunday)
• Serve once a month (or more if desired!)
• Your children or grandchildren are invited and encouraged to serve alongside you!
• There is great variety in the tasks you may be asked to help with such as greeting at doors, taking offering, helping with joining opportunities, interacting with first time guests, etc.
Now What?
Contact Shandon Collins at scollins@fumcr.com and provide us with your name, phone, email, and how often you can serve (whether once a month or more) and we will handle the rest!
Your presence is needed, and it alone will serve as an invitation to others to get connected in our community. Thank you for your consideration!

Congregational Care Callers Needed
Caring Ministries is in need of Congregational Care Callers. This team calls members that have not been in church for several months or more just to see if they are okay, if they have any needs the church can help with and to let them know their community of faith cares about them. We don’t mention that they have not been here in a while, just that we like to check on our members periodically. We don’t always get an answer, but simply leaving a caring message may brighten someone’s day.
Volunteers are trained and asked to make 12 – 15 calls a month. A volunteer may call at their convenience, but some calls may need to be made in the evening or on weekends.
