Safety Update: Important

Students must enter the campus through the weapon detection screening process. Any students found trying to enter the campus through ulterior ways such as jumping the fence or having other students open a door for them will be automatically suspended.

With the screening process working so efficiently, we will begin marking students late for 1st period. If they are late, it is due to their late arrival to school, not the screening process.

Jaguar Student of the Month!

Hayden Brown was recognized at our Spring Pep Assembly for achieving Canyon View's first ever, Student of the Month. Hayden was nominated by teachers and staff, he is active in FBLA, TV and Film, and is a Food Service Student Worker. He is always willing to go above and beyond to help out his peers and his CV Community and he emits the Jaguar Way, below are what some our staff members had to say about Hayden:

"There is no such thing as a stranger, and he works very hard to make sure people are included in whatever activity that he is involved in; he is an excellent representation of CTE."

"Hayden is a driven, caring and a nice young man. He always strives to do his best at everything he does, and you never have to ask him twice to help teachers or his peers. He definitely embodies the "Jaguar Way" and is a wonderful, positive role model at our school."

Congratulations Hayden!! His twin sister Hailey was over the moon as we celebrated her brother!

Parking Spots are Limited

It is an exciting time for many sophomores receiving their drivers licenses. We have limited parking, and currently, there is a wait list.

  • If your sophomore is wanting to park on campus, they must visit the bookstore to see if a spot is available, register their vehicle and get a parking permit.
  • All parking is assigned. If a new driver is coming and parking on campus without registering, they are parking in someone's assigned spot and are subject to tow.
  • Parking is first come first serve for Seniors and Juniors only, any additional parking will be given as it becomes available.

  • Your speech does NOT have to be perfect! We will have staff who can help you with your draft.

Women's History Month

This month we celebrate our Jaguar Women, as a school that is only 5 years old, our female educators, coaches and staff have already made history and paved the way for our young leaders. It has been 50 years since Title IX was passed and our female athletes have been given the opportunity to be inclusive in interscholastic sports. This week we feature Head Women's and Men's Volleyball Coach, Stephanie Parker!

Coach Parker- Women's and Men's Volleyball

Coach Parker grew up in Hastings, Minnesota and following high school attended St. Mary's University in Winona, Minnesota. She moved to Arizona in 2004 to teach at Agua Fria, there she began her AZ Volleyball Coaching Career. She took over the program 2 years later and led their team to multiple State appearances. In 2019 Coach Parker moved over to Canyon View and has led both the girls and boys volleyball teams to state appearances and last season the Boys Volleyball team won the region title. Over the past 18 years Coach Parker has led club teams to Nationals, most recently with AZ Sky.

Coach Parker is supported by her husband Luther, and their 3 young children, Kemp, Ellie and Tenley. She not only Coaches Volleyball, but she is also our CV Stugo Advisor and is a big supporter of all activities on campus, we joke she lives here! " I have the greatest job in the world, being able to help our students achieve their goals and develop their potential is an honor and a privilege."
