BHA Update

Middle/High School Uniform

Alhamdulillah, the heat wave is broken and normal uniform and PE uniform regulations are again in place.

To be avoided:

  • Sweats and sweatshirts, hoodies

  • Improper footwear (open-toed or heeled shoes, including clogs)

  • Hair or neck showing

High School Girls’ Uniform:

Alhamdulillah, the high school girls' uniform is almost finished. We at BHA are proud that our high school girls were involved in choosing the design and shade of their new uniform. Girls should start wearing the required uniform pants and scarves while waiting for the long tunics. Those choosing to wear skirts must be full skirts rather than tight, stretchy skirts.

Volunteer Procedures

Bright Horizon Academy values the volunteers who enhance the BHA programs.

In order to be in compliance with the mandated CA Education Code for school volunteers, we are now asking our volunteers to comply with the volunteers requirements before they are allowed to go into the classroom or work with our students.

Steps required for volunteers:

1- Complete the BHA volunteer forms

2- Turn in completed forms plus proof of a negative TB test to the Admin. This test must be performed within the last 4 years. TB tests must be kept current to continue volunteering.

Once approved:

1- Sign in at the office upon entering campus and get a volunteer badge to wear in the classroom or area you are volunteering in.

2- Stay in the rooms or areas signed up for while on campus.

Friday Dress up and Spirit Day

We were all happy to see our students dressing nicely for Friday and upholding the sunnah of our beloved Prophet (saws). Thanks to the Student Council for organizing the Kona Ice truck visit, enlightening the spirit of this special day.
