News and Information
E LEARNING! Monday ! ipads are coming home TODAY! Materials for the elearning day will be posted Monday by 9:00 am. Please complete ALL of the assignments. I tried hard to not slam them with busy work, and I tried to keep it like things we'd be doing here at school on a regular school day. Please make sure your ipads are charged (if possible ) before returning them to school on Tuesday. If you have questions you can contact me via email during my office hours that day. You might also check out the HELP folder linked in the Google Classroom assignment before you ask a question because the answer just might be in there! Mrs. Watkins students, when you go to Google Classroom on Monday you will need to choose her class instead of mine (you will have assignments from her in spelling, reading and math. Everything else will be from me )
Seesaw!
Information was sent home regarding the Seesaw learning platform. It is a way that students can share work, practice skills and you can communicate with me. It is free to join, and you will only be able to see your child's journal and what I post. You can add up to 10 adults (grandparents etc.) to your child''s journal so they can also see what everyone is learning ! That information was sent home on Tuesday. If you need another copy, please let me know!If you have not connected, it would be a great time to do that!

Homework Helps and Hints
Middle of the year Reading Data-
Updated reading levels and word read per minute will be graphed inside Monday's data binder on the last 2 pages! Level K is the minimum expected level for the middle of the year. Students who are at or near the minimum expected level are most likely still having difficulties in reading and comprehension. We want them to be as far past the minimum level as possible to be ready for 3rd grade. Also, even though it might have the running man in the blue advanced area on the parent report that is coming home today, that does not necessarily mean your child is ahead of where they should be. mClass is an assessment to see who is at risk for reading problems. Children who fall into green or blue areas are children who are at less of a risk for having reading problems- it does not mean they are high ability or advanced for their grade level.Important Events
