We developed this template to give a framework of how 4-H meetings run, and connect your planning of a meeting to resources you can use to support your meetings being fun, engaging, and educational for young people.

Tri-County Horse Game Days
Tri-county offering | Grades 3+
In person
This multi day event will start at 9:00 am each day. Todd County's show will be at the Todd County Fairgrounds [9th Street NE Long Prairie, MN 56347] on June 5. 2022. Crow Wing's show will be at the Crow Wing County Fairgrounds [2000 SE 13th Street Brainerd, MN 56401] on June 12th, 2022. Morrison County's show will be at the Morrison County Fairgrounds [15575 Hawthorn Road, Little Falls, MN 56345] on July 31st, 2022.
The $30.00 cost includes all three shows. No refunds. Riding levels include grades 3-5, grades 6-8, and grades 9-13.

Minnesota Northeast 4-H Regional Horse Game Show
Local Offering | Horse project families
In person
Youth enrolled in the 4-H horse project are invited to the Northeast 4-H Regional Game Show! Participants will have the opportunity to compete in barrels, jumping figure 8, poles, and keyhole.
Saturday, June 18th and Sunday, June 19th, 2022
Show starts Saturday at 10:00 a.m., Sunday at 9:00 a.m.
Crow Wing County Fairgrounds, 2000 SE 13th St, Brainerd, MN 56401
Cost (required): $40 per initial horse/rider combination
Stalling (optional): $15.00 (bring own shavings)
Camping (optional): Electrical - $30 per night, Non electric - $20 per night
Gates are open
Friday 5:00 - 10:00 p.m.
Saturday 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Sunday 7:00 a.m. - end of the show
The top 6 will receive ribbons for each event. The top 5 overall point leaders on both days qualify for prizes.

Summer Sewing Club
Local offering | Grades 5+
In person
Join the Summer Sewing Club to learn about sewing basics and to create multiple homemade sewing projects! This club will meet five times through the summer to create a bean bag chicken, a tic tac toe travel game, and a quilted wall hanging. The working project will be a group 4-H t-shirt quilt to be displayed at the Crow Wing County Fair!
Participants will work on their projects both during the sessions and at home. Sessions are held on May 26, June 6, June 20, July 14, and July 28 from 4:00-6:00 pm at the Land Services Building [322 Laurel Street Brainerd, MN 56401].
The cost for each participant is $10.00. Grades 5+ are eligible to participate and do not need any prior sewing experience. Limit to six youth.
Register in 4-H Online beginning Thursday, May 5, 2022.

Records 101
Local offering | Grades 3+

Please join us at the Land Services Building [322 Laurel Street Brainerd, MN 56401] on May 16th, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 pm. Participants will learn the process of record-keeping and get a breakdown of each of the components on record-keeping forms. Awards and prizes will be on display to show what can be earned during the annual Awards program in the fall.

Wood Shop: Intro to Power Tools

Youth in grades 6+ are invited to explore an introduction to power tools by creating a one of a kind photo frame. Tools include a palm sander, router, power mitre saw, pocket joint fastener tool, glass cutting, electric drill, and screw gun. Step by step instructions will be provided in this hands on learning experience. Parents are encouraged to stay.
Please join us at the Crow Wing County Fairgrounds [2000 13th Street South Brainerd, MN 56401] Curling building on Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. A snack will be provided. Please bring your own water. There is no cost to this event as all materials have been donated on behalf of the instructor Lee Hauble. Attendance is limited to 8 youth.

Northern Reins 4-H Club Games Practice Day

Youth enrolled in the 4-H horse project are invited to practice 4-H qualifying games before the county and state fair! Participants will have the opportunity to run through barrels, jumping figure 8, poles, and keyhole with additional runs during the given time slot.
Please join us on May 14, 2022, from 8:00 am-3:00 pm at the Crow Wing County Fairgrounds [2000 SE 13th Street Brainerd, MN 56401]. The North gates will open at 7:00 am. The schedule and time slots are estimates.
8:00-10:00 am Barrels
10:00-11:30 am Jumping Figure 8
11:30-1:00 pm Poles
1:00-2:00 pm Keyhole
Participants must be enrolled in 4-H Online to participate. All horses participating must be ID'd and have current Coggins to participate.
The cost is $20 for the initial horse and $15 for one additional horse.

The registration deadline is May 12, 2022.
Animal ID
The deadline to complete your animal IDs is quickly approaching!
Information for each animal needs to be entered into 4-H Online, our membership database. These requirements ensure health, safety and fairness. All animals used/exhibited at 4-H sanctioned events need to be IDed no later than May 16.
